Keith Note #2
Ten cartoon thoughts from this week
Hello
Welcome or to my wee band of subscribers from last week’s launch - welcome back (and thank you).
Have you read your Sunday papers? Taken the kids to their football? Been to the gym? Walked the dog? Maybe you’re still in bed, hungover to hell. I am none of these things.
I figure that Keith Notes will bring ten cartoons each week capturing ten random thoughts about everything and nothing.
Until the end of the month you can subscribe for a year for just £24 if you use this link button thing. From March I’ll stick a paywall in so you’ll still see one or two things for free but 50p a week would let you see the full Wahoo!
By the way, please comment on any of the subjects brought up. I’d love to read your thoughts.
I have an irrational fear of large man made things in the countryside. I think it stems from a BBC programme I saw as a kid called The Tripods. This means I have a hard time with wind farms. A trip along the M8 is pretty uncomfortable.
I’ve not really left the house since last week’s note. I know that’s not healthy but something keeps me here.
I’ve been watching Small Prophets to keep up my whimsy levels. How do you keep the whimsy in your life? I know - you read Keith Notes!
When I was younger my Dad used to tell me he competed in the Olympics against Mark Spitz the swimmer. It’s the kind of story that needs to pass through every generation so I would tell my kids about my Olympic adventures which would be many and varied. You see a lot of Olympians with tattoos of the Olympic rings and I wondered if tattooists ever do any checks that the person getting the tattoo is an Olympian or that’s what they’re training for. Probably not. So maybe I should up my game to make my story even more believable.
I’ve been drawing a piece that involves 80s football. My mind wandered to our old telly back then. Ultra low definition.
I’m not a big van of drawing people I don’t like unless you can really go down the grotesque route. I posted this earlier in the week but in case you never saw it…
I go through stages of buying books. As well as a stacked bookcase I have loads of Kindle digital books. I’d say I’ve read about 10% of them. BUT I JUST HAVE TO HAVE THEM.
Do you ever wonder if you could drop a credit or debit card perfectly between two buttcheeks?
No, neither do I.
Let’s finish with a listicle. I loved doing the Winter Olympics one last week.
This time - snacks of the unexpected (and not in a good way).
Any you would add to the listicle?
Have a great week everyone.
Cheers
Keith

I have always liked the idea of Spotify but have always stuck to making playlists in iTunes for my phone instead. So tonight, I’ve taken the plunge. My brother gave me his user name and I’ve made my first Spotify playlist and its called Progressive. It’s mainly prog rock singles or short album tracks as my attention span is low, some of the artists might not be considered prog rock by the purists, but it’s the same era so good enough for me. If you enjoy your music as I do, wasting a little time making up playlists can be very therapeutic. Tomorrow I will be filling up my new lists called Metal Chartbangers (heavy rock singles from 70’s & early 80’s) and later in the week, AT40 Kasem, which is US hits from the late 60’s & all through the 70’s, which I first heard on Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 shows, when they were played on UK radio, Smooth Radio it was.
